Cheney has said that he sees his role in the administration as that of an honest but professional advisor to Bush. Cheney expressed excitement about being nominated for the Republican vice-presidential nod. He stated that the future is bright for him working with a leader who can collaborate with those who have differing political opinions and who share common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30 1941) was the son Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been engaged to Richard Herbert Cheney for over 30 years. He relocated from Casper, Wyoming with his family in the year 13 when he turned thirteen. The father of his worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and directed the soil conservation district located in Casper.
