Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was the first to be the first athlete to get a perfect 10 during an Olympic ceremony. Bela Karolyi, who later became a Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci at just the age of six. The first time she competed at the junior national championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She was the winner in 1970. She took home three golds at her very first contest in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972 that was held by communist-friendly countries. In 1973 and 1974, she became the all-around junior champion. At her first competition as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she topped Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion, winning 4 gold and one silver. In 1976, she was the first female to do reverse double salos on the bar with a parallel unevenness as part of her dismount. She took home the trophy of the American Cup, held in New York City. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she began appearing in travel shows like Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a part of the world of entertainment during her teenage years. She began her career as figure skater, performing alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the show that was a traveling spectacle known as Ice Capades. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performance.
