Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was the first person to reach a flawless 10 at an Olympic event. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi later the Romanian gymnastics coach when she was six years old. In 1969, she competed in the Romanian Junior Championships and placed 13th. She took home the trophy in 1970. In 1972, during an international meet of communist country juniors prior to the Olympic Games, she won three medals of gold. Then in 1973 and 1974 she became the champion of all juniors. At her first competition as a senior in 1975 she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion winning four gold medals as well as one silver. She won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and became the first woman to ever dismount parallel bars by using a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens, she began performing in travel shows like Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her entertainment career as a teenager. In her early years Carol started out as a figure skater in the traveling show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured skating on ice and included theatre performances.
