Annet Mahendru

Mahendru is the daughter of a Russian Indian mother and a Hindu Afghan father. She fluently speaks German Russian English. Annet Mahendru was born to an Indian father as well as mother of a Russian mother. When she was 11, Annet Mahendru choreographed and danced in a show that led to the honor of a German television show. The dance included a snow maiden from Russia who transformed into a fun Indian dancer. Following her graduation of New York's top High School, she was awarded her bachelor's degree in English degree from St. John's University. She studied comedy and improvisation at Groundlings School after leaving HB Studio. Her parents were an Afghani Hindu-Indian mother and Russian father in Kabul in Afghanistan. Her father moved her to New York, when she was 13 year old. She is a part of FX's The Americans alongside Matthew Rhys. The role she played on FX's The Americans as Nina Sergeevna Krilova is her most notable television appearance. She played a recurring character in Fox's The Following, and NBC's The Blacklist.
