Katherine Heigl admits her childhood in a bubble of white and how that influenced how she cared for her adoptive, multiracial kids. In a recent "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy" and "Grey's Anatomy", star Katherine Heigl admitted that she didn't care about her skin tone, until she came across her adopted sister who was from South Korea. "I asked my sister, Meg whether she'd been treated one way when she was walking around with our parents and a different way when she was out by herself without them. Meg replied, "Oh yeah, always!" That made me realize that I had been so naive," Heigl said to parents. According to the actor she grew angered. But, she was determined to channel this energy into helping her adopted girls. Heigl, who has been married to Josh Kelley for 13 years, have a son, Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. They have adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 in 2009, then Adalaide who was 8 years old and is Black in 2012.
